If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, who could stand?
We are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like noonday.
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not.
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the LORD from a pure heart.

You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasure.
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever--do not abandon the works of your hands.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the LORD and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses.

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For everything in the world––the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does––comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God will live forever.
1 John 2:15-17
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

We know we have come to know him if we obey his commands.
1 John 2:3
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods. With singing lips my mouth will praise you.
Behold, to the Lord your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.
Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
1 Corinthians 8:1
